The Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve well known as a biodiversity hot spot is one of the most spectacular sites in the Amazon Basin. The Cuyabeno Reserve formed by a lagoon system, habitat of pink dolphins and manatees; the sky colored by macaws and toucans is the perfect place to get into this enchanted and remote world. Our naturalist guides will lead you through amazing trails and streams including different activities such as hikes, canoeing, bridwatching in a plain hospitable atmosphere.
Our operation is located in the upper part of the Cuyabeno river, near the Laguna Grande. Our campsite belongs to a local family who found Eco-Tourism as the best alternative to protect their land and culture.

Upon your arrival to Lago Agrio your naturalist guide will pick you up and transfer you to the Cuyabeno River Bridge by private pick up truck for Ranchera for about 3 hours drive. Here we will have chances to enjoy the beauty of this ecosystem as well as enjoy the observation of some species of fauna.

Walking through a primary forest learning about the Tropical Rainforests natural history as well as the different uses of plants for medicine, building, among other uses. Visit the Siona community of Puerto Bolivar, learn about its culture and people, canoe ride through one of the small tributaries of the Cuyabeno river looking for piranhas.

Walk through a Terra Firme forest or firm land forest, learning about the function of the forest, the importance and difference of each habitat, canoe ride to the Laguna Grande where we will have chances to swim with the amazing pink fresh water dolphins. Nocturnal canoe ride looking for nocturnal wildlife. Here we will have chances to find amazing species of tropical animals and plants.
